Thursday was the long awaited arrival of the deluxe edition of Paul McCarney's Ram album. I have to say I was exceptionally pleased with this package. I've had it on pre-order for months and it was well worth the wait. It has a book, a "Small Book of Sheep," a pack of 8 X 10 glossy photos, a pack of facsimile hand written lyric sheets, 4 cds and a dvd. We have the "Band on the Run" and "McCartney" deluxe editions and this one blows them out of the water. The cds are really interesting. There's the remastered stereo album, a remastered mono mix of it, a bonus audio disc with cuts that didn't get on the album, and the "Thrillington" disc. That's a really strange orchestral arrangement of the album that has its own odd charm. I couldn't be happier. I hope the next one is "Venus and Mars."
