I bought my current strike ball (VG Nano) based on a recommendation from a friend. I love the ball, however once the lanes begin to break down, I find myself fighting the lanes more than I would prefer. I did some research, and found the new Storm Manic to allegedly be a ball better suited for medium oil conditions. So, I bought one. Logic seems to dictate it would be a good ball to add to my arsenal to complement my VG Nano. Hopefully, my logic is not flawed. I spoke with the pro shop guy who will be drilling the ball for me over the phone, and when he asked how I would like the ball drilled, I didn't know how to respond.
Ultimately, my goal is to have a ball I can switch to as the lanes begin to break down, or to start with if the lanes are simply too dry for my Nano to begin with. With that goal in mind, are there special instructions I should provide to the pro shop guy for drilling? I just assumed that if he drilled the ball the same as my Nano, it would be similar to the Nano, but not as aggressive, since it is for medium oil. In case it's relevant, I consider myself to be speed dominant.
I'm sure there is much more information I should be providing, such as the details behind my existing layout. Sadly, I don't know enough to be able to answer that question.
Thank you in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.
