Mike, I've calmed down quite a bit over the years. About four years ago during the same summer league a young man said something about my niece to her dad. I told him to watch his mouth especially when he is saying that to her dad (he didn't know). As I was on the approach he told me to mind my own business and go f$$k myself. The ball went down the lane over hand and I dragged him outside by his adam's apple. Naturally his friends jumped in. The cops told him it would be a waste of time pressing charges as it was 4 on 1. He insisted. Judge threw it out and told him he was lucky he had medical bills.

Wow, I never want to be on your bad side. That's pretty crazy. Glade to hear you've calmed down some as you got older.

One of the things I wanted to accomplish by joining the Army was learning to control my temper. Didn't work. They just used my temper to their advantage but it did allow me to be one hell of a soldier.

I wouldn't say unlucky, just as long as you do what you're told.

ha ha. Someone asked once how it was to have me as a coach. It was a kid they asked. He said great because I explained everything and showed him when he didn't understand and that I was patient. Different levels for different people. I expect kids to behave a certain way and that's fine. I also expect adults to behave as such. But it does bug me that some people I know say they want to get better, get free lessons and yet don't take advantage of the free 3 games a day they get with their summer league. Somehow they seem to think bowling 3 games a week will get them better at it. These people are the ones that admitted they also don't do the at home drills I showed them. Those are the people I have no patience for when they start complaining about how they are bowling. The ones that bowl several times a week and put all the work into it, I will help until I drop and give them all the patience in the world; they've earned it.

Bowling alley was crazy today. Place was packed, had the senior social league going so just a few open lanes down on the far end of the alley. First game we had a few empty lanes between us and the next closest bowlers, then they put a family with four kids on the lane on the left of us and then another family with two kids on the right. The kids on the left threw at approximately .005 MPH and they would stand at the foul line until the ball finally reached the pins approximately a minute and a half after it was released, having on at least 5 different occasions not reached the pins and had to have someone go down and retrieve it. The kids on the right alley decided with each throw to play pinball with the bumbers up and see how many times it could bounce off them on the way down the alley. My PTSD was off the charts by the time I was leaving there.
