Hey guys I went bowling today and I think my dad's ball is full of oil, since when I was throwing I noticed it wasn't hooking as much as it used to, or it would hook too late. One of the fellow bowlers who were bowling next to me let me borrow his rag and I cleaned the ball. My next throw went smooth and I got a strike, now this is the first time I've noticed this problem, I also think my local bowling alley switched it's oil pattern into a more dense form.

Martinzsam- wiping off your ball should be a regular thing while you bowl. I usually wipe it before every throw during the first game and then when I notice oil on the ball.

As for this giveaway...anyone ever seen a lefty bowl with this ball that being given away?

One of the guys in my sport league has some sort of nexus or nexxus. I've never really looked to see which on it is. He's definitely one of the top 5 bowlers in the league. I would say his style is similar to Patrick Allen, most comfortable swinging the ball out and hooking back rather than playing straight up the 1st arrow like Earl Anthony.

Originally the site was privately owned by a guy named Chris. He sold it, without telling anybody, to bowlingball.com and then never answered phone calls or messages from any of the people here. Bowlingball.com kind of left it alone for quite a bit until it was inundated with spam and we were screaming for help. John Congdon was put in charge of it, but now he has left for another job in another state, and we haven't been told about who the new admin is. Not that it matters, this is still a great site, filled with great people, and while I've had problems with a few people, I'm still proud to be associated with it. Winning is easy, you just have to post, and trust to luck. Ask questions, keep up a conversation and that's all you need to do to win.

well, I don't let my hopes go too high now.. It's just posting, replying people, learning more now rather than when I first joined, all I did was just to win a ball.. Now, it's all about socializing.. And I'm pretty satisfied with it.. hee!

I didn't join to win a ball but to gain knowledge. I actually get a little disappointed in the ones who win and you never hear from again. A teammate told me about this site when he won the HRR. He hasn't been on since and says it's due to computer problems. That would be fine except I always have facebook posts from his wife, using the same computer.
