    bad form is bad form doesn't matter what the ball did or the pin count. Also depends on where it was filmed at. Some of the patterns outside the US that style is needed to hook the ball.

    The 46th world cup was held in Toulon,on the French Riviera
    from the 15 to 24 of October 2010 so maybe they needed to
    top the ball over there.

    NO! What would make you think that? It depends on the lane conditions. Most THS the outside is pretty dry so no problem. Some PBA and World patterns the outside is soaked. Dry=friction. friction=more hook Even if you play inside, they throw it out to the dry.
