I remember my first deep fried pickle. I thought, why would they do that? I've stopped asking as I've learned anything can be deep fried.
Speaking of southern things as I type this I'm snacking on a bowl of boiled peanuts (Georgia caviar) and watching Paula Deen making deep fried pecan pie.

Yup, have you heard of deep fried strawberries, my sister said they taste good.. But then again what doesn't taste good deep fried?
I try almost any and all food but really try to avoid fried foods as a rule. Summer time means fairs and that means more fried food than any person should consume.
