if that is the way it dose do soo he would ahve to knock down a total of 625 pins per hr to tie to record and just alittle more to beat it soo he probly could do it easyly by at least knocking down 10pins every minute

12.5 pins a minute for a total of 18,000 is my goal. There will have to be volunteers that are sanctioned by the USBC to keep the score. I still have to discuss with the center owner about what mode/method would be best. As minor as the fill ball might seem, those pins will also be needed and the time to reset from one game to the next would be wasted.
I bowled and knocked down 2,486 pins today in three hours. That was an average of 828.66 per hour, 13.81 per minute and didn't rush at all. During the beginning of the attempt I will pick up the pace more while trying to make as many quality shots as possible. I know after 10 hours the pace will slow down and want a cushion for when that happens. I also want enough of a lead that I can use the restroom at least once without costing myself the record.

soo if u have to get 12pin a minute soo my idea soo u cna take a few breaks and use a bathroom a few times could be too on the first maby hr or 2 try to get at least 20-30pins a minute soo then u can take enoph of a lead that u cna pace your self after that and still not have to worry about having to go to the bathroom and about to lose the record cause if u do 30hrs for 2 hrs u will have a total of 3600 pins down witch will give u atleast a 500 pin lead above the record to slow back down and pace yourself.

I was planning on shooting any extra leaves. What did you guys do, shoot them or reset? The time to reset is almost the same so it seems a waste of time.

That link that was posted from the Daily Journal is about us. The record breaking article will be out Wednesday. We beat Chad McLeans pair record of 27,437. We shot 28,228.

Bill, we set the scoring on 27 hours of bowling so you never had to hit end game and start a new one, just kept bowling. We also set the scoring on 5 pin no tap, so as long as we hit 5 pins, it would always give us a fresh rack. I suggest putting down a long pattern like the US Open or similar. The right side will dry up in a matter of hours. Also in the guidelines it says that you can reoil per the owners request. Do that. Brush up on bowling with your opposite hand. We 5 hours of left handed bowling late in the night. This allowed for our swollen right hands to be iced and ready for the home stretch. Our goal was 20 pins per minute and at least 1200 per hour. We went 1176 per hour which was enough.

Last month I tied Colin Champion's record for most strikes in a minute with 8. That was a great test to see how the 24 hour would stack up. I would also encourage drinking two quarts of water each hour to stay hydrated.

Another questions, just email me and I'd be glad to help. I'll even explain the ways we used to record the event. ( t.hubert@hotmail.com )

Thank you. If I get time soon to compile a sensible list I will email you. The recording part of it is of definite interest.
