Those are fun to attend. I'll be driving through that area in a few hours in route to Orlando to bowl for the weekend

I would love to check one of these out. They had one last year only 3 minutes from my house but since I don't bowl in a league at that house they wouldn't let me attend. They said there was a waiting list for there league bowlers.

I wish they had something like central calendar for these. I'd love to attend one, but I never find out about ones close to me until it is too late.

If you are free this weekend, shoot over to Orlando to Boardwalk and bowl the UBA. I just got here and will be here until Monday

    Equipment available at the matchmaker.

    • Hy-wire
    • Phaze
    • Phaze II
    • Street fight
    • Rocket ship
    • Snap lock
    • Alpha crux
    • No rules

Last year, I demo'd the Phaze and the Hy-wire. Skipped them this time.
Last years winner was the Critical.

    This years order is:
    • 6th Phaze II
    • 5th No rules
    • 4th Rocket ship
    • 3rd Snap lock
    • 2nd Alpha crux
    • 1st Street fight

The top 4 all were great. Street fight struck after the lane oil started to break down.
I believe its high RG and large core aided the repeated shot making.

I'll be attending my first Matchmaker/ball demo event in a couple of weeks. What should I expect? Is there anything I should do to prepare ahead of time? I'm assuming they don't drill every ball for every person, do they just use a standard layout and span? I have switch grip thumbs on all my current gear, will I be able to just grab one of my existing inner sleeves and use it?

    attended my first last weekend
it was a good time and great to have a chance to throw something before buying it.
they brought RG: No Rules and Wreck-It, Storm: Snap Lock, Street Fight, Phase II, Rocket Ship

They bring a big tub of Turbo thumb and finger inserts. If you have your own you can use them.
The balls are all drilled pin up with the pin and CG on the center line of the fingers and thumb (so they can be thrown left or right handed)
the balls are marked with a weight and span XS, Small, Med, Large, XL
the span most likely wont be perfect but for a demo its good enough
I dont recall seeing any 16# but I wasn't looking, the majority of the balls were 15# and 14# and I did notice a few 13# and 12# with the Wreck-It and Rocket Ship

PWBA member Elisha Current was at this event and my girls thought she was wonderful. Elisha was very friendly and helpful
