When to resurface your ball
When should I resurface my Hyper Cell? What sort of ball reaction should I be looking for that tells me it's time. I have noticed recently that I have been leaving more 10 pins than usual. I have a good amount of games used with it.

I freshen the surface about every 15 games on my asylum just hit it for a few seconds with whatever surface it is at currently 2000 and do a completed resurface about every 75

I don't know if there is a limit you are only removing thin layers off so you could completely resurface a ball many times before running out of coverstock

I wouldn't resurface as much as some people would. I typically go a couple months of use before I would put it up on my spinner and resurface.
I would say once the ball stops reacting to lanes they way it used to or you have a definite track showing on the ball it is probably ready. I clean my balls everytime after use so it helps to keep some oil from loading up in them.

Using a surfaace scanner it has been shown that the surface texture of a current ball changes significantly over the course of 3 games. Common practice nowdays is to refresh the surface every 15 games and a full resurface every 75-100
And by refresh, you typically only do the last step in the resurface process for the particular ball. The last step for a Hyper Cell is to take 2000-grit Abralon and Sand for 10 seconds on all four sides with light pressure.
