    What works for one may not work well for another. Without knowing your style/specs and the conditions you want it for it'll be nearly impossible to provide a "best layout". Your local PSO should be able to tell you better than anyone here can.

    Agree with StormBowler. Also being that it's your first ball, you may find in a few months that you're style starts to evolve. Depending on how serious you get and how much you plan to invest in equipment, you may go through several different types of balls and layouts as you improve your game. Just tell your PSO that this is your first ball and he should be able to come up with something that works.
