I suffered from that too. It didn't run late, but it was a live event, which means that they ran a few extra commercials to fill in the 'dead time' between matches - pushing the overall event past the 1.5 hour mark.

did the carter mixed doubles run on time? my dvr shut down at about the 3rd frame of the last match and it showed 1 1/2 hrs run time or did it start late?

I've gotten burned by this a few times and have the DVR set to record an extra 30 minutes at the end.
i thought is was my unit but glad it's not. i'll have to record the next show also,just in case it happens agian.
I didn't record long enough either, and I recorder an extra ~15 minutes. I saw the whole thing but it cut off during the post-game interview.
