I saw someone else was reading this so I thought I'd check it out. What, nobody's ever seen Tommy Jones? And Susie Minshew says to do it if you use your strike ball to shoot spares.
Are there any Pros that insert their thumb into the ball before the fingers? I have only seen this done a couple of times and it is supposed to be a very effective way to combat dry lanes. Any ideas? I also understand that in order to be effective, the thumb must be VERY snug.

On several occasions have attempted to do this, but I could never get my fingers to feel comfortable in the holes.
If it works for someone else good for you, I just can't do it and feel totally comfortable swinging my arm back & then finding out that I just launch my 16# brick backwards.
All pins are POSSESSED, I'm just happy to be able to exorcise the poor dears and put them out of their misery.
It's the least I can do
