    Default A sad announcement

My teammate, Andy Rubin, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack a few days ago. I've bowled with Andy for about 20 years now, of which 5 on the same team. Throughout his bowling career, he bowled nine 300 games, and three 800 series. He was a great person, as well as a true team player. He will be missed. He was 56 years old.

This is a link that shows video of the final 3 shots of one of his 300 games, plus a picture of the scoresheet. It occurred during a team game of 1296, where we put up 257-258-224-300-257, which is a 259 average per player. I was honored to be a part of that achievement, which you do not see every day for a team of 5.

My condolences, sir. Being only slightly younger myself, it is far too young to pass.

It also brings to the fore that many men are very lax about keeping track of their health. Get a checkup. Better to know if something's wrong to just guess that everything's fine.

I'm sorry for your loss, a great friend can never be replaced.

    An Irish pray:
May the road you travel be down hill.
May the load on your shoulders be light.
and may you be in God's hands a half an hour
before the Devil knows about it.

(I paraphrased this, from the original one I inherited from my father)
All pins are POSSESSED, I'm just happy to be able to exorcise the poor dears and put them out of their misery.
It's the least I can do
