I finally started getting lessons. Turns out my coach subbed last night. I beat him (In series). I bowled a 652 series last night. My average before last night was a 165.77. So I was just really on (And showing my true potential). Already learned quite a bit.
I'm switching from a four step approach to a five step approach. I'd say after five minutes or so, I became very comfortable with it. My approach is slower, but flows better.
I'm also focusing on framing my finish. I tend to lean so that alters my throws. I'm also trying to keep lower which is preventing me from throwing across my body.
He said I'm actually inbetween a cranker and stroker. He also said I have one of the nicest forms he's ever seen. I have a very smooth release. Looking at the lines of oil on my ball, he said they are in perfect position. Apparently I'll never have trouble with any oil patterns as long as I can figure out exactly where to place my mark.
My coach also said he wouldn't be surprised, if I can practice what I learned, if I throw a 700 series by next week. I've only bowled two 600 series in my life and one was last week so we'll see what happens.
