They arent? Usually people quote the last message, so the sent message is saved that way (in the body of their reply)...but I never noticed that.

Sent messages are not saved into the "Sent Messages" folder. I tend to delete old messages fairly quickly. Just habit.

Did you check the save sent messages box in the options?

Bowl is right. the default is to not keep a copy of sent messages but you can turn it on
