Just a general question. I want to order shoes online as they are cheaper but don't really want to walk into a pro shop and try on their shoes with no intent to buy as the markup is pretty substantial when you buy locally.

My wife purchased me some used shoes four months ago. They fit good but just getting a bit worn down. Come to find out they are Dexter Raquel (Version II I believe). Size is 10 Womens. If it had been a mens shoe I would just re-order with same size.

But I've read that bowling shoes run a bit bigger, especially Dexters. So if you normally wear size 10 you should order size 9.5, etc

The womens 10 fits me perfectly. At first it was kind of tight but now seems fine. Just curious what the sizing would be for mens bowling.

I normally wear size 9 or 8.5 regular shoes.

That's not the experience I had with my Dexters, which I bought less than a year ago. My Dexters ran a little on the small side. I had to buy a 1/2 size up -- and my feet run narrow.

Ok. Good to know. When the time comes may just go purchase them locally at pro shop. Just hope they have my size. My wife was looking for a new pair and the pro shop didn't have her size and would have to order it. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying it locally

I don't think the shoes are any difference in terms of regular shoes.

Do yourself a favor and get a pair of higher end shoes, whether it be Dexter, Brunswick, Linds or Etonic.
