Thursday Night (11/20/09) we bowled against a talented team. In the third game, their anchor was on a roll (pardon the pun) and rolled a 300. While for most bowlers, this accomplishment would bring a sense of accomplishment, extreme joy and downright excitement. Notice I said most. This bowler showed literally very little to no emotion on the lanes or away, just like it was an everyday occurrence.
I've seen countless perfectos and near perfect game, from a bowlers first to anothers 50th and this is the first time I've seen one with no emotion. I hope and pray that when I do (hopefully) make that achievement, the whole house will know.

Heck, if I ever shoot one, I can guarantee that everybody will know it. I'll probably have a T-shirt printed up and wear it for a solid week!

A friend of mine, who is in his mid 70's, shot 300 about 2 weeks ago. Don't know how many he has shot ( won't say, but we know of several ), but when I mentioned it a week later he was still tickled about it.

Anyone who doesn't show some kind of emotion must be on PROZAC! :D

the pro shop i use consists of the pba card holders 2 of them bowl a regular wendsday mens league to promote the shop. one of them has popped 4 300's this season (out of 15 weeks so far this season). i have seen 2 of them and he is running cross lanes fist pumping high fiving ,the whole thing.i think he has 13 just this year and over 40 lifetime.so hes still not used to it

a few weeks ago he strung 11 left a stone 8 in the last frame,and he was devistated. :( so that guy must throw a ton of them not to have any emotion at all,wierd if your that good you must love the game and you would think a perfect game would mean something to him.

I am sure hoping when I bowl a 300 I won't crap my pants. But if all go's well I will make the other team crap theres, now that will generate some noises! hehe

it's too bad that the easy conditions that are out there now have cheapened this great acomplishment. More and more people have become very emotionless about it as they shoot so many. Untill the USBC decides to toughen up conditions so people actually have to execute to reach this great feat it will become more and more comon for les emotion to be xhown.

and stormed1 your right that they come easier now im still tickled of my 287 back in 93' just wish i would have not quit for 15 yrs :( my step dad had 2 one practice one sanctioned back in the 80's and id trade the one for 10 300's nowadays,the balls were way weaker back in the day. oil patterns alot more inconsistant.

you were a super bowler if you were over 190 average back than now it seems like under 200 is weak.:(

There is no feeling like that of your first 800 or 300 (well, on the lanes anyway, ;)). I have many of both, but I have always lived by the saying "act like you've been there before" and apply that to my bowling game whenever possible. I try and control my emotions to make sure I am not "showing up" my opponent, or just "showing off" by acting like a raving lunatic. If I want to celebrate wildly, I will do it when I get home with my family and friends in private. That is just the way I approach it anyway. I hope everyone on here gets that experience at least once in your bowling career!!!

I know when I do roll a 300, I will NOT be emotionless. Of course, I know a few who have rolled a 300 and were almost emotionless. The smallest have been a smirk and shrug of the shoulders. Many people would respond differently. Even though they were emotionless, the crowd around them probably wasn't. I have a teammate who will throw a 1st strike on his 2nd frame and yell so loud that you would think he rolled a 300.
