    Default My league Prize List

This is the Prize list for my Tuesday night league, We had three to choose from and this was the winner. My team leaves it up to me to determine which prize list to vote on and this was the one I picked.

Our league season is divided into 2 halves with payouts for 1st & 2nd halves .

The [PF % Per Half] is part of something new I was working on in a spreadsheet, Where I was comparing the different lists.

Seeing which ones had the better payout percentages for different places and sections of the list. As a way to compare and pick the best prize list, It's not really practical for use at the lanes. But I was looking at using it to compare other prize lists and past ones. (I was testing a BBcode table generator, which I used to produce the table in this post)

The [PF % Per Half] is the percentage of the prize money available for each half that spot got.

Place 1st Half 2nd Half PF % Per Half Team Awards
    1 $400.00 $400.00 5.57% High Scratch Game $40.00

This little table shows the list divided into 3rds.

Place Winner Prize List 2 Prize List 3
    Top 3rd $3,356.00 46.77% $3,788.00 52.79% $3,720.00 51.84%
    Middle $2,280.00 31.77% $2,068.00 28.82% $1,992.00 27.76%
    Bottom $1,540.00 21.46% $1,320.00 18.39% $1,464.00 20.40%

If you figured you'd be in the top 10, List 2 would be the best overall (because it payed out places 1-7 better than list 3). But if you figured you'd place anywhere else then list 1 (the winner) was the best.

Heres the longer list showing all the places and the comparisons.

While we may be doing well at the moment and I might hope to be in the top 10. I erred on the side of caution and went with the one I thought payed out the best for the most places 1-16, so went for list 1.

Place Prize List 1 Prize List 2 Prize List 3
    1 $400.00 5.57% $540.00 7.53% $512.00 7.13%

Our pay out is a little simpler. We have 24 teams using a 7 point sys.
    There is 2 halves.
    Each half winner gets $300.
Then on last night they bowl for $1000 more, winner takes all.
Everyone else will get roughly $19.60 per point.
High team series gets Team high game gets the same
    1st place $200
    2nd place $125
    3rd place $50
    Individual game and series
    1st $60
    2nd $40
    3rd $20
We also have a Pizza party with 30 pizzas, 3- 6" Subs, snacks and 3 kegs of beer.

That's not a bad payout, What do have about a 60K prizefund?

But it's not simpler than only paying out place money.

Must be a high fee league to payout $19.60 a point or maybe a misplaced decimal?

$23 per week one dollar is mandatory 50\50. Lineage is $9.80 per week. That is the cheap part. Pots are high, very high.

I wish my lineage was $9.80. I'm in a fun league only $19/week but our lineage is $13.40 which for Jersey I think is pretty good.

Mine our $20, $17, and $18. Lineage ranges from $8.50 to $9.00. Our payouts to the winners are higher but no where near $19 a point that's amazing to me. My highest is around $10 per point. Is it a 3 point per night or 4 point per night league?

According to fords earlier post his league has 24 teams using a 7 point system.

If their teams going 34 weeks, Thats at least a $60,000 prize fund to payout $19.60 a point and the other awards.

Plus all the pots it appears you can buy into according to this sheet he posted

They must have a lot of money to throw away.
