Thread: PreBowl rules

It seems like most handicap leagues will let you see the score of each game, after you have completed the game. More and more leagues are allowing teams to see pre bowled scores before they bowl in an effort to discourage pre-bowling. Oftentimes in scratch leagues, teams are allowed to see scores before they bowl for this very same reason.

As far as the usbc there is no rule against seeing the scores, it's up to the league to set the rule.

Most leagues I've seen didn't let you see them, though now with the automatic scoring the monitors show the frame by frame scoring as you bowl during league.

    from the FAQs
On Monday I'm set to sub for a team that is post-bowling.

The center recently upgraded the scoring computers.

I know one person on the team our scores will be used against, against recently shot 800, but I'm not sure if it was the same week we're making up for.

Would be interesting to see his score appear frame by frame.

It should as long as they have the scores entered into the system.

When they put the names up on the monitors here, it says pre-bowled next to the players names. then when you start bowling the scores for that frame start to show.

In one of the leagues I'm in they put the scores on the recap sheet so we can see all the scores before we ever throw a ball.

I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of pre bowls tonight as we bowl on Easter

I would have thought leagues were off on Easter and they had open bowling.

What kind of league would bowl on Easter Sunday? Why? Do they bowl on Christmas eve too? How about Thanksgiving?

Is there something sacrilegious about bowling on Easter?
