Fist off on our Monday Men's league, Gene, one of my teammates had his First 800 series last night! 801!! Congrats Gene! ( I think his name on here is Geno2, need to check that out) Gene is a 220 bowler and has bowled for many years, and has been close on other occasions!! A solid bowler!
What am I UPSET with??? One of the bowlers that started out with us, and quite coming, but told us to carry his average is over 60 bucks in the hole! He would say it was job related, and would be coming back soon. Well this ran into many weeks, and now he is saying he doesn't' owe anything.
Its a five man team, and now we have to pay the money he owes, out of our prize money divided by four of us!
We would have been better off having a blind, but thought he was good for his word!
What recourse it their with a lying, cheating no show!
I haven't seen him at our lanes since this all started, but he is bowing at another lane I have heard!!! Should I go find him, and Ice-***-fie-him!!
LOL.... Can his USBC Card be taken away for not paying?
Short of torture if found, WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH A DEAD BEAT BOWLER...... DBB!!!

ICEMAN, speak with your league secretary. There are provisions regarding exactly this in the USBC bylaws. I am sure Bowl1820 has the exact rules etc that he will post.

If a member leaves the league without notice and still owes fees, what should
an officer do?
When a member is accused of leaving the league without notice and owing fees, the league
should try to collect the owed fees prior to taking disciplinary action. Many bowlers are not
aware they may be suspended from USBC membership for nonpayment of league fees. If
payment is not received, a written complaint should be filed immediately with the board and
copied to the delinquent member. The provisions of Rule 115b must be followed.
115b/4
If a member leaves the league and is delinquent in their league fees, how many
sessions can they be charged for in accordance with Rule 115b?
According to Rule 115b, Item 1(d)(1), the bowler may not be charged for more than six (6)
sessions. Immediate action should be taken by the league upon discovering an individual is
not returning and still owes league fees.

We will pursue this to the fullest extent of the LAW!! If we can pull his card we WILL! Thanks for the info! I heard somewhere that you can pull their card for not paying! We talked to our leage official last night, and he said we were responsible for payment! ( We beat his team last night 3 out of 4 lol ) so he was not too sympathetic to our situation!
Wow,,, Being somewhat new to bowling, this is the first time this has ever come up with a teammate Like this! A DEAD BEAT BOWLER!!! He just kept us thinking he would be good for the money! His average was not a positive for the team at all,,! I believe it was around 160! We would have been better off just going blind,,,, wow live and learn!!

Not sure about if the team is responsible or not. Well, from the prize money that the team gets you can take the part he is owed from his portion of the money's. He would still be eligible for the prize money that he bowled for. Just prorate his portion and be done with it.
