Default FALL LEAGUES WILL be STARTING SOON, HOW MANY Can YOU HANDLE!!!!

Fall leagues are right around the corner,,, have you figured out how many leagues, and what type leagues you will be bowling on? I am still in the process of trying to figure it out!

This year for the first time I am not bowing a league on any FOOTBALL DAY/NIGHT. That would be Sunday, Monday, and Thursday!

Monday and Thursday will be ok if its morning, or early afternoon. I will be bowing with the BEAST,,, Pat Henderson, One of Missouri's USBC's Hall of fame bowlers this far on a 1pm league. Looking forward to bowling with this animal who just turned 60, and still kicking out 800's and 300s!!

I am thinking at this point in time of bowling 3 senior league... all 1pm two sanctioned, and one not, and one evening league with Geneo2u, and Mary.

Might for the first time, other then the AMF Big 22,,, enter some tournaments this fall. My style of bowling is suited to this type of combat on the lanes. IF I am on.... I AM ON!! IF not,,,,, Forget-about-it!!! LOL I never know which will show up.... Michael,,,, or ICEMAN!!
Still looking around for a Sports league that Gene and me could bowl on together.

Still thinking about that 37 mile trip to Plattsburg, if they have and opening. The price is right,,,, Plattsburg only charges 8 bucks for sanctioned men's league. Only problem to me is it starts at 7pm, and it is Thursday evening, NFL NIGHT!!

HOW ABOUT YOU.... HOW MANY LEAGUES,,,, and what type of leagues will you be bowing this fall?

Tuesday yes - looking to go back to back champions. Would tick a lot of people off on the league since we are the clowns of the league, drinking, smoking and joking (well the smoking is just a metaphor and filler word because all lanes, as they should be, are non-smoking now).

Saturdays - no. Big problems. 2 of my team mates moved to Texas. So that leaves me and the captain. So we picked up a great person to bowl with - he actually is buying a house from me as well. But then my wife wanted to bowl in the 4th slot but the captain's wife is trying to insert this very annoying person who is her friend - the guy buying the house from me doesn't like her either. My wife is pressuring me that either she bowls or none of us bowl. Time is ticking. League starts September 6. Not sure what I will do. Still not sure of my son's hockey schedule which may conflict anyways and give me an out. But I'd be heartbroken not to bowl with the captain and his son-in-law. Bad situation.

I really want to bowl 2 leagues. One is not enough to satisfy my crack like addiction to the sport or non-sport or whatever you call it - you know the one with the spherical object you roll or loft at wooden pins down some wood or synthetic wood with or without a spare ball - bowling as you flat landers would call it - an excuse to drink is what we call it.

Tuesdays yes with some of my USBC Nationals team mates.
Thursdays yes with my old friends for a fun league.
Saturdays(every 2 weeks) Travel league, possibly depends if my friend Mike decides to do it as well.

That is about it for this next year. Wifey wouldn't be too happy if I added any more.

I've got a very busy winter schedule planned this year. I'm bowling four daytime senior leagues: Monday Senior Men's Travel League (rotating among six different bowling centers), Wednesday Storm Doubles at Red Rock, Thursday Rock City Trios at Red Rock, and a Friday mixed handicap league with my wife and a couple with whom we've become friends at Suncoast. I like the fact that the leagues are during the day, but I will miss bowling with the kids at night like I am this summer. I guess I'll have to bowl more open tournaments on the weekends.

Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last year Tuesdays were more part-time for me, I'm going back full time this year. Always look forward to the fall leagues starting around this time of year... summer leagues are fine but they just aren't the same.

I know I will be bowling the Friday night mixed league at my normal home lanes. I will bowl at least one other league but I don't know which yet. I would really like to add a third but I have to solve the problem with my thumb blistering first.

sounds like a pretty full schedule indeed! Rob you must love the sport!!!

What I like about MY senior leagues around here is, they all start at 1pm! Wife is at work, and not home until around 4pm.

Standard fee around here for evening leagues is 15.00 bucks! (senior leagues 7.50, and 8.00 bucks)

I am thinking at this point in time bowling 5 leagues,,,,, 4 sanctioned, and one not. 3 senior leagues, and two evening sanctioned leagues.

    Still,,,,,, t h i n k i n g.....about that Plattsburg league.... long drive.......but wood lanes....

Go for it Iceman. You have the chance to do it and sounds like you really like the lanes, why not? Not doing it then regretting that decision is worse than trying it even if it's not what you thought... at least you know!

I'll be bowling the same two leagues as last year, the company sport league (on Thursdays since we moved up to division B ), and the city league on Fridays. This year I've also signed up for a "formula 1" style league that is on Monday evening. It's a singles league where each round is played on a different WTBA pattern. You get points depending on where you place each round (1st is 25 points, 2nd is 18, 3rd is 15 and so on until place 10, which earns one measly point), and whoever has the most points at the end of the season is the winner (just like in formula 1 racing). I'm looking forward to it, my buddy did it last year and said it was quite challenging (I think the highest average in that league last year was 178!).
    Company League Average: 198.1
    City League Average: 186.5
WTBA Sport pattern League Average: 172.9
Current Arsenal: Roto Grip Nomad Pearl, Wrecker, and Hyper Cell; Track 920A and 505A; Storm Tropical Breeze; Plastic Spare Ball
