If I didn't need prescription glasses...I'd wear sunglasses. I mean, I sometimes do better in practice when the lights go out for cosmic bowling...so why not?

Just because I wear sunglasses like PDW doesn't mean I have to act like a terd machine.

Well.....if there were bright TV lights shining in my face while I was bowling, I might think about sunglasses. But most alleys aren't really brightly lit, so, you'd just look like a d-bag (not to mention run in to and trip over everything)

I don't know how bright TV lights are now, but back in the 80's on an ABC telecast, the lights were not only bright, they blazing hot as well.

When they went to commercial, they cut the lights back, still well lit, but it felt like they closed to door to blast furnace.

Well...I guess it depends on the definition.

I actually consider that term reserved for a 55 year old that blames every little problem he's having on the lanes on some person unlucky enough to be sitting in his peripheral vision or a random noise from as far as out in the parking lot...and then rant and rave and act like a 4-year old on national television.

    But...again, depending on your definition...it 'could' apply to a handsome, sexy bowler...with a swagger...and a sense of style...and just general awesomeness...and like..super intelligence...and wit...that being me.

    It's all in the definition...

PDW is a who, not a what. Real name: Peter David Weber. Son of PBA hall of famer Dick Weber.

Pete wears those sunglasses to reduce glare from TV lights.

It would be utterly stupid to wear them for any other reason (although maybe he does when the cameras are off - I don't know).
