    This intrigues me for some reason. Do you have a photo of it?

    I've done a ton of Google-fu on this ball, including going to Asian bowling sites, and haven't found a thing about it.

    The name Konan suggests Japan, as there are a number of towns around the country named Konan. Vesuvius also makes sense for a Japanese/Asian country, being in the Ring of Fire, because that volcano destroyed Pompeii. Thus, I'll bet a Konan Vesuvius will really make the pin deck erupt.

    I'd be interested to see what the markings look like.

    Definitely looks like an Asian ball, possibly American made, and quite old.

    Are there any etchings (other than what's pictured) on the ball itself, or any other numbers/marks elsewhere on the box?

    A bit off topic but my dad bought an old bowling bag from Goodwill and had 1974 (or was it 1984) rule handbook . At the back of it were the league standings that year, typed out
