Default Demo Days: How does it work custom fitting your thumb and finger into these balls?

At Demo Days they apparently have these special balls where you can custom fit a ball to your hand with adjustable thumb and finger inserts. I can't wrap my head around how that works. I get the different thumb slug and finger insert sizes but how do adjust for span? Heck or even for pitch?

They bring multiple balls in with different spans. They just have a generic pitch to the thumb. It's what makes demo's hard for me as with a generic pitch I struggle to clear the ball. Bowlers are different I bowl with one guy who can pick up a house ball and beat you with either hand. Me and some of the other guys go out with a ball the fit is slightly off on and look like we don't know how to bowl.

Yeah, so it's not a complete 100% fit like a glove. I'm the exact way. Fit has to be perfect. One piece of tape removed/added to thumb hole makes a world of difference to me.

I went to my first demo day event a few months ago. I highly recommend doing it even if you don't plan on buying.

They had 12 different balls to try with a few different spans, a table set up where they fit you with grips that you take with you and insert into what ever ball you want to try. The balls all were drilled neutral, pin just above and middle of the fingers.

How does a person find out about a demo day? Is there something listed online, or is it house driven?

I figured it was something like that, but was hopeful I could find a Demo Day listing somewhere.

Storm lists theirs on their web site. Motiv has a facebook page for it. I think EBI also has a list online somewhere that I've seen.
