Default First time for everything I guess

Yesterday in my league I used my newly drilled DV8 Ruckus Feud I bought last April. I drilled it pin under, 40 degrees by 5 1/2 by 70 degrees, but never had a chance to try it out before league. Out THS is 38' of oil and this ball is very aggressive. I moved from my normal shot of straight down boards 5-7 to throwing it over third arrow out to about board 7, and it carried well. I shot 231 with one open on a split, but how I finished is the weird part.
I'm the anchor now, and I needed two strikes and 7 pins to in the first game. I struck on the first shot in the 10th, but on the release of the 2nd shot everyone heard a loud POP, like pulling a cork out of a wine bottle. I struck that shot and checked the ball out on its return--I found nothing obviously wrong. So I lined up my third shot and it popped again, only this time the ring finger insert shot out of the ball, hit the ceiling, then bounced off my lane and ended up three lanes to my left and in the channel. I did strike again for the win.
So I did the walk of shame down the lane about 20 feet and picked up my finger insert and headed to the pro shop. Come to find that neither insert had been glued in. Luckily they were tight enough to stay put for the most part, and popping loose didn't cost us the game.

No luck would have been them coming out in practice.

It's really not that unusual. Moral of the story: every bowler's bag should have at least one tube of Super Glue as part of it's regular inventory.

    +1

Also if you ever use that tube, replace it later with a new unopened tube. Because the one you opened will probably be dried up the next time you need it.

Should have some super glue and a few finger inserts as well. At least I like my new ball.
