    Default PreBowl rules

my Thursday league team is me and my 3 daughter
one daughter needs to prebowl in a few weeks, and the rest of us plan to bowl league night

can one or more of us bowl with the prebowler (I guess pacers)?

this league doesn't have any written rules, just uses the USBC rules and verbal for the basics

Typically 1 person pre-bowling is not allowed unless your league rules state it is allowed. Suggest speaking with your league secretary about it.

yes, our league allows 1 person prebowling
again, no written rules, good group of people that are not overly competitive
occasionally, we've had entire teams prebowl where members have prebowled at different times

I really doubt anyone would question, care or even know if we paced
but, I'd rather not be in violation of any USBC rule

In our league anyone on the team can pre-bowl. Only the whole team can post-bowl, no individuals.

If the league has no rules what does it matter. A pacer is just some person who is bowling and their score doesn't count.
Might be important to tell us the ages of your daughter. Is she 9 or 29? Kids have very lax rules.

she is 17, but this is an adult league
she has an adult USBC card

again I doubt anyone in the league would care, I just don't want to violate any USBC rule
I can't seem to find anything that says yea or nea

It's very local. The only one with the real answer would be your League Secretary

the bowling center might have you pay for the games possible for the pacers that are going to be bowling if they really wanted to. i know at my local one depending who is on when i prebowl the will charge the person for 3 games

If an entire team pre bowls, should the other team be able to see there scores so they know what they need to beat? Or should it be hidden till the end of each game? With that said, if a team post-bowls, should they be able to see the other teams scores or wait as they were obviously unable to see there scores?

Typically you don't see the scores because it can lead to sandbagging.

As far as the usbc there is no rule against seeing the scores, it's up to the league to set the rule.

Most leagues I've seen didn't let you see them, though now with the automatic scoring the monitors show the frame by frame scoring as you bowl during league.

    from the FAQs
111e/3 When teams pre-bowl or post-bowl unopposed, can the opposing team see the scores
bowled by the team bowling first?

There is no USBC rule to prevent the opposing team from seeing the scores. When a league
allows teams to bowl unopposed, rules can be adopted to govern this situation.
