Ok, time for ideas for their future!

    USBC presents "The Coverstock"
For $300 a year you get a pair of socks, an "I love bowling" headband, a pencil sharpener, and a PBA bowler will "like" your Facebook posts twice a month.

    USBC presents "The Sweeper"
For a one time payment of $500 you will receive an 8x10 photo of a PBA bower standing next to a Lite-Brite with your name on it.

There are probably as many or more non sanctioned leagues around here as there are sanctioned leagues. This is a new phenomenon in the last few years as people started to smarten up and say what do we get for being sanctioned?

If there actually was a focus group of bowlers who came up with this I'd love to meet them. Then beat the crap out of them for being idiots.

I can see how this went now.

Focus group. We need to work with proprietors to develop lane patters to return integrity to the game.

USBC. That's hard how about a bag tag.

Focus group. We should find a way to make scoring and coaching more somtware intensive and better stat tracking. Would also make it mobile friendly to interest youth

USBC. That sounds expensive how about a journal.

Focus group. Your getting $10 a month now for nothing how about a small increase and actually do something useful.

USBC. Nah you're suckers we will stick a bunch of stuff we found in a sack at Kmart and sell it to you for $130

    How about "The Sandbagger"
A USBC rosin bag and a 10 pin deduction on your book average.

It was the proprietors that gave you the lane patterns that lack integrity to begin with.

Even if the USBC wanted to bring back integrity, they would have serious opposition in the BPAA, and the ball manufacturers.

Nice to see I'm not the only one that doesn't really see the point in this. Besides the hey let's see if we can make money off random cheap stuff. They would probably get more people to buy the subscription if it included the bowling academy for free. The chance to win tickets to watch various tournaments in person doesn't do much for me, since I'd likely not be able to take the time off work nor feel like paying the travel and hotel costs to go watch.

How bad is it that I saw the commercial for all of this, I thought someone was making a joke about selling something on the Home Shopping Network.

I don't understand the point of it and why anyone would spend $129.99 for nothing. I would think if they included a subscription to the USBC Academy videos and maybe voucher for 2 free lessons from a USBC certified coach then it may be worth it. Or even setup an exclusive video analysis forum where folks could upload their videos for analysis by USBC coaches then it would have some value.

I usually try to be a proponent of the USBC but stuff like this makes it hard.

You left off the Core Perpetual Plaque!

"Once you enter your accomplishments from the 2015-2016 season, you will receive The Core Perpetual Plaque, which will recognize your high average, high game, high series information over a five-year period."

The Core is basically a booster club.

It would be like when join a local sports team booster club.

You pay a membership fee, they give you a hat or towel and some pompoms and few stickers that says your a booster and maybe get 25% off your game ticket or the snack bar.

A $130 is a bit steep, $29.99 maybe if the coin looked really good and it was a bigger flashdrive.
