If your PSO needs help to find the pin, then he's not going to understand the directions of how to find the TW.

Why would your PSO need to find the pin if you don't have holes in your ball?

Also since you use plastic balls.

Most plastic balls don't have a "Pin" that locates the top of the core like other balls do.

They just have whats called a molding pin, it's usually the same color as the ball so is hard to see. You just have to look close to try and find it.

It has nothing to do with laying out a ball though.

Why in the world would anyone want to try and layout a plastic ball
as most if not all of them just have a 3 piece pancake core in them.

Just a straight up over the label drill is all you need for it to go down
    the lane straight.

To use as a strike ball for certain conditions, there are plastic ball layouts. Such as the PBA plastic ball layout for example.

That's right because there are plastic ball tournaments. I don't know if they still have it but there was the Mark Roth plastic ball tournament.
