Each time both drillers didn't have to plug and redrill. They just reslugged the ball and added the pitches I requested for.
Also, when doing the experiment, pay attention to your fingers too and not just the thumb fit and timing. Your finger nails shouldn't be pressing on the insert. When we changed my thumb pitch one day I caught this. We shortened my span and it felt good. But in the end, I still back off 1/8 from 1/4 forward.
Your PSO may not catch it right away so be attentive.... I had 4 5/16 cut span 15 years ago if I remember to 4 3/8 currently.. my beginning pitch 15 years ago was 1/4 reverse, to 1/8 forward. I may go another 1/8 forward during Christmas break come to think of it lol
