i've been trying to work on my mental game but find myself frustrated and disappointed in myself all the time. any tips? i dont usually feel pressure which is why i think i get so upset because when there is none thats when you should be bowling best but it seems opposite for me lol
Keep throwing them strikes and keep your head up! How else are you supposed to watch them?

What is your average?
When you're bowling, never look forward, and never lok back.
Take it one shot at a time...
Once the ball is out of your hand, it's history.
When you start striking, don't start thinking, that you can shoot 220, 250, etc.
If you miss a spare, it's in the past...The important thing? Why did you miss it.
Do you work with a bowling coach?
avg about 160
and yes i work with silver coach jeff combs out in dave husted's milwaukie bowl

here's what works for me (maybe will work for you too)
--Relax
--remember youre there to have fun!
--take your time - dont let anyone rush you!!
--never take your eye off your target - think to yourself before you even start your approach "target sighted...target locked"
--visualize the path your ball is going to take to the pocket
--mental cues/thoughts before you approach like "make a quality shot" or "stay slow" or "swing it out" or whatever the shot calls for
--and take your time on your spare shots too!!
