I just throw them in my clothes dryer once a week. Loud - but works GREAT!

But a lot of clothes dryers come with a removable shoe drying rack. You could put that in there, then sit the ball on it. Im just guessing though, that even on the lowest setting it would get to hot.

but the thing i sead about making a metal one around works good heat circles around the ball i did not know what it did one time i was doing it soo i went and got a infered scope and wanted to see what it dose and it circles all around the ball then out the top soo all of it gets the heat

Just the ball - right in. But don't forget the dryer sheet. A static-y bowling ball is no good.

and Kev - I am actually lucky enough to find the one woman that will put up with me and my crazy antics. Happily married for a year and a half.

It's great when you get it right. But a dryer sheet will kill the hook, it's basically just a lubricant. Though, it's true that lubrication is our friend.

Word of caution....I baked several balls in my house oven at 170 degrees. Worked great on the balls but about a week later when I went to use the oven it smoke a tiny bit and smelled a little. Your suggestion definitely sounds safer as mixing lane conditioner and food can't be very good.
