Rev rate isn't the only factor that will make it fly off the spot. Also consider axis rotation and axis tilt. High axis rotation or low tilt will also cause a sudden movement off the spot. Together, they can cause a VERY sharp break point. If you don't know what they are, here is a article that explains it pretty simply: http://www.bowlingball.com/info/axis...-rotation.html.
Don't scare yourself away from asymmetrics altogether. A good arsenal should have a mix of both. The Marauder works perfect on your current lanes, but at a different house it likely won't react exactly the same. Every ball has a time and a place. At another house with a longer pattern, you may find that the Marauder is hooking late and hitting weak, and the angularity of the Lucid will be exactly what you need to kick the 10 pin out. That said, if you only bowl in the one bowling alley, you probably don't need any other high performance balls and you may never need that one.
As for the Frantic, its a great ball that is loved by probably 95% of the people I've seen use it. The ball is a little weaker and longer than the Marauder (depending on surface, layout, etc), but it is VERY strong off the spot. Depending on the lane conditions, you might find your frantic hooking more than your Marauder because it is able to take advantage of dry boards better. On drier lanes, strong balls are weak and weak balls are strong. If you dont like the ball motion of the Lucid, you might not like the motion of the Frantic either. If you do pick one up, I'd suggest a layout that weakens the angularity of the ball a bit.
Some companies do still make weaker balls that are more of a long and controlled, though they are a much rarer breed nowadays. If you prefer that reaction shape, I can recommend a few other balls you might be interested in.
1. Seismic Blackout - Hopefully you will still take my word for it even though I rep Seismic, but the Blackout IS the best/most controllable med-light or burned condition ball I've ever used. The weaker cover combined with an Low RG-Low Diff core ensures the ball gets down lane easily but doesn't jump off the spot. HIGHLY recommended, and I would be happy to help you get one. http://seismicbowling.com/solarisBlackout.html
2. Track 503C - Before I was on staff with Seismic, this was my go-to early rolling but weak ball. Equally weak cover but a much stronger core than the Blackout, which caused it to be much earlier than the Blackout but still with a very controlled motion. My favorite part of the ball was listening to all my teammates scream "SIT!" because they thought the ball was going to hook through the nose, only to watch it arc perfectly into the pocket. Made me laugh every time
3. If you want to stay in the Brunswick family, the Versa Max would be a great choice. Very smooth off the spot, but with good length. Overall hook would be close to the Marauder, but with more length. The newest Karma Pearl would also be a good choice if you wanted something weaker.
Hope this helps.
