    In that article he said that you have to have good knee bend to do this. My knee bend isn't so good because I had knee surgery, I think I compensate with forward bend of the waist which I read somewhere is ok.

    What Hammer said makes a lot of sense about accuracy. I don't know if you play golf at all, but they teach you when putting to make sure the ball is directly under your eyes, otherwise you are not looking straight down your target line. Same if the ball is under your eyes when release the bowling ball.

    On the other hand, like Bill said, it isn't necessary as long as your are doing the same thing every time, it doesn't really matter.

    True, a good knee bend is better, but bending at the waist can compensate for the amount you can't get with your knee. Give it a shot and even if you can get a little lower it should help. I know what you mean about your knees. As I am getting older mine bother me a lot more.
