Probably. There were a couple times she was bent forward sitting on the couch and I almost got "caught" looking down the back of her drawers. But hey...wear pants that fit and you wouldn't have that problem.
You are generalizing pro shop people. At least around here a "pro", x-pba, is the one who owns the shop not just some random dude from the unemployment office that had nothing better to do.

Bowling Hot Chicks, demoing the new bowling balls, in skimpy swim ware, (secondary way of advertising besides the bowling ball), showing the women, and men not of the girly kind the ball movement on the lanes!!

$385 that ball better come with a free tank of gas for that price.
If you are paying that much for a ball then the you can apply the saying "A sucker is born every minute"
The high end balls around here are marked at about $220 and with drilling grips and slug you would be out the door for less then $250. Of course I dont pay those prices I generally get a decent discount since I am such a good and loyal customer.

Agreed, if someone is paying that much for any ball, it better come with an extra ball and bag and shoes and tape and towel and slide sock and easy slide and cleaner and polish and.......

Most I have paid for any ball is $200. That is drilled, slugged, finger tips.

I see balls online and in pro shops all the time marked in the $200-$270 range. And most shops charge $35-$45 to drill.

Now, is that what you actually would PAY?? Probably not. If you're giving a pro shop $270 for a ball, I'm thinkin they'd include drilling.

I was just illustrating the point that that SAME ball in 2 years will be on clearance online for $80 shipped. Add $45 for drilling...$125 out the door. And whats cool is...most bowlers see it and think, "wow....he must have gotten a new release! I haven't seen anyone use that ball yet!!" Yeah, because it came out in 2011.

On the top of my wish list is the Brunswick Aura Mystic...which JUST came out last year or so. I've wanted it since it came out. It used to go for over $200. Recently, I'm seeing a LOT of Brunswick Aura and Paranormal balls show up on clearance/special...only a matter of time to the Mystic shows up. Imagine, in a year or so...you'll start seeing popular balls like the SYNC, Hy Road, and IQ start going for clearance prices.

Storm may not show women in their reviews but 900 Global / AMF does , Motiv does, Hammer does , Christina Hardee is now doing Storm Videos so all it takes is a little research. And the comment about drillers not making it on the Pba tour is ludcris. They own a pro shop because they want to eat! If you don't have a $$$ contact there is no REAL money on the PBA tour. The prize funds out there are abismal

Thats not a bad Idea maybe you need to put together a presentation on how you are finding these 2 year top of the line balls so cheap. I never find them that cheap.
The one thing that scares me about doing this is I have had 4 balls crack in the last year. When I buy through the proshop they will replace it for free. If I buy off of clearance somewhere online then there is probably no warranty or even if there is I have to pay to ship it back then I have to pay to have it redrilled. I would be more willing to do this if I was finding the deals you are talking about.

    Information:
    1) Bowlerx.com (clearance ball section) free shipping
    2) Bowlingball.com (look for special deals, special rebate offers) also free shipping
    3) Bowlingballexchange- This one is hit or miss...lots of people want way too much for their used junk...but if you post what you're looking for and what you're looking to pay...sometimes you get lucky. I posted there, found a ball on another site, then a person responded on BBE, and I ended up with two of the balls because I couldn't pass it up at that price.

As to "cracking"; never had that happen (knock on wood). I'd be more worried about it cracking or something during drilling. I'm sure it would be a challenge, but I gotta think that if a ball just spontaneously cracked...I could get bowlingball.com, bowlerx.com, or the manufacturer to replace it. They might not, but if I make a big enough stink and bother enough people...I might get some relief. Whether it's a pro shop, a website, or a manufacturer...none of them want bad press...especially with the internet. A person choosing their next ball...and they're up in the air about what to get, the last think Columbia wants is a guy posting on every bowling website that Columbia balls tend to crack and Columbia won't stand behind their merchandise. Takes 10x as much effort to win a customer than to lose one. Takes 100x as much effort to win BACK a customer after you lost them.

    Given the post below;

Realize, I'd always check with your pro shop first though. I know 4 nearby pro shops...and 1-2 of them, they can get you a pretty darn good deal and have the room to negotiate on price since they can always "wiggle" on drilling cost. My best deal ever was through the local pro shop; Storm 15lb Frantic for $100 plus tax, drilled. Most websites had it for $89.99-$118.99 without drilling.

ALSO...I don't care about WEIGHT. If you DO...sometimes it's harder to find such a good deal. Many of the balls I bought were only available in 15lb or 16lb or 10lb. By the time they get to THAT level of clearance, there's not a lot of size selection left.

AND FINALLY! Remember SHIPPING!! Bowlingball.com and Bowlerx.com; almost always free shipping on balls. Shipping a bowling ball is $25. If you can't get free shipping....it's usually cheaper to get it at a pro shop.

As any good defense attorney would say: " objection your honor!", Aslan is changing the subject!

Aslan,,, TAKE a deep BREATH! Go start a thred titled:

A DEAL IS A DEAL, Buy a ball at a GREAT PRICE, Regardless of the weight, style, or brand, and Beat people in tournaments ...... LOL

    I like that title!
    Don't walk on Thin Ice!

I was answering a question. If it's too distracting; feel free to let Bowl1820 know and maybe he can use his magical skills to move tcc's question and my 2 responses to another thread.
