Default How much practice arenyoungetting in these days?

I bowl on Mondays and bend filling in everyother week on Sunday's, even more often than that lately, and here and there on Tuesdays. When not filling on Tuesdays, I generally come in to grow 5 games and then Friday's or another 5. When I practice, I usually throw the games and then work on what I need, for example if I have a split , I'll go for the 10 instead of the other two pins, or for the 7. It varies, but if I struggled on something in league then work on that.

I'll also use some balls I haven't usin a while to see if they artwork pulling out and then ill shoot with the ones I used in regularly in league. So I guess I'm all over the place.

Short answer? not enough... is it ever?

Long(er) answer - I bowl leagues 2x/week and practice usually 4 games 1 other day. I typically shoot a game of all 10-pins on ball 1, try to clean up whatever spare is left after. Still have my struggles, but since working on that more I've noticed the % start to creep up.

When I can, I will get some practice in on Sunday mornings, usually get about 6 games in total.

Try to get timing in check, get a good consistent feel for my approach and release. I typically use 5-6 different balls throughout warm ups and then in practice I use one ball per game, one game each to learn the differences between each one. I think with an arsenal, you are doing yourself and your game a disservice by not knowing exactly the differences each ball has for you on the lanes.

Last game I will go for nothing but the 10 pin. At my regular practice center, I can set up any sets of pins on the deck. Sometimes I will set the bucket along with the 10 pin so I can practice both in one frame. Seems though more often than not, I pick up the bucket and the 10 pin at same time. Maybe I should go for 10 pin first and then the bucket.

I don't worry about score AT ALL during practice. As long as I know that I am finding the pocket consistently and my timing in check, I am doing what I need to do.

Finding time to practice at my center is hard. Monday-Thursday evenings are filled with leagues. So only available time are days and weekends. Will try to squeeze in some practice time Saturday mornings though. I don't like to practice by myself anymore. Like to go with my wife or someone else. Truth be told it isn't practice, more like just regular bowling and having fun.

I don't get as much as I like.

I dedicate my Thursday night handicap league to practice a lot of the time, and am not all that concerned about score (my team is in first place, too). Granted, I don't take an entire game and shoot corner pins.....but I try new lines, new setups, etc. during this league.

Yes, that would be awkward if you were only shooting corner pins at league

Must be something about CT. I was going to give the same short answer.

I bowl on a Wednesday night mixed league and usually afterwards my friends come and we bowl the late night special $8 for 3 hours of unlimited bowling. I also bowl every other Friday with my church in a bowling fellowship so usually Friday and the Wednesday late night, I use that as my practice and work on my B game. I'm most comfortable bowling down and in, so I move about 12 boards left and work on getting comfortable with that angle.

I have one night of league bowling and I go to my center at least one other time per week to get some practice in. Its not enough, but it keeps me married
