Default HELP with need the ball to hook less

so i got my uncle a spare ball because he was missing the 10 pin, now he is throwing the ball the same way and it still hooks a bit(looks like he turns his wrist) , is there such a thing as drilling a hole for the ball to hook less? thanks in advance

I used my regular ball to pick up 10 pins and I use this method and ususally put a little extra speed on it too. Usually gets the job done if I hit my mark.

He can try taking his ring finger out which will take the hook out. This will be awkward at first til he gets used to it.

I have this problem too with my spare shot. To overcome it, I line up the middle arrow with the pin I'm trying to hit and roll my plastic spare ball right through the oil so it won't hook. I loft it out there a bit too, to give it less time to catch on the lane and hook (although it doesn't hook much when it does). It's really apparent when I have my brace on, since it locks my wrist into a semi-cupped position. I missed a few spares last time due to not being used to the brace and what it does to my release.

Plastic, plastic, plastic. Takes the hook out of play when picking up spares.

Really that depends on the bowler and how dry the lanes are. Do you mean they go straight like this http://www.bowlingboards.com/threads...hlight=plastic
