TONIGHT WE BOWL! DV8 DAMN GOOD BOWLING
I threw a game with my pro shop's IQ Tour Pearl while my driller was drilling my new DV8 Terror and I haven't looked back. I bought a Storm Frantic a few months ago as my first new ball in 10+ years just getting back into the game and not knowing much. I bought it based on bowlingball.com reviews and its good, but after throwing my DV8 Terror for maybe 10 games, I can see that Storm is to bowling what TaylorMade is to golf.
I don't know if any of your guys play golf, but TaylorMade dominates the market by spending a fortune on advertising that they are the #1 driver played on the PGA tour. The reasons they are the #1 driver on the pro tour is because the spen the most money paying pros to play their stuff. Doesn't mean they have the best technology, just means they have the best advertising.
This is the feeling I get from Storm. I am not saying they make an inferior product, just saying it probably isn't the best just because a lot of pros throw it. I am sure they pay just as much as TaylorMade to have their name on TV for the PBA events.
Cheers - Ryan
If there was as much money in the PBA as there is in the PGA way more people would be pros. I have thrown Storm since i started bowling as an adult in 2004. Unlike some other people on here i have not had a bad expierence with them so I continue to use their product. I am sure if i had a bad expierence with them i would more than likely switch brands.
You also have to be able to trust your equipment. If something in your mind thinks you will bowl better with X brand in your bag it is entirelly possible you will. If I was to aquire a ball of a different brand, i would certanetly use it and compare it to what i currently have. Sorry about the spelling. Uncle Sam doesn't pay me for my spelling skills.
