At the basic level Rough Buff would be coarser than Storm Reacta Shine.

Rough Buff is more a rubbing compound and Reacta Shine a finishing polish.

Rough Buff would typically be used on a ball with a coarser base grit. It would take a ball sanded at a base grit of 220 up to about a 1000. This would give you a semi-gloss or matte type finish.

But the finer the base grit level, the finer the end result polish will be.

Reacta Shine would typically be used on ball with a finer base grit. If you put it on a ball sanded at 220, you would see a little shine, but a whole lot of the base grit. Reacta Shine finishes to around 1500 grit (Depending on base grit!)

Here too the finer the base grit level, the finer the end result will be.

Plus both polishes are abrasive meaning they change the base grit level, little by little, depending on length of time applied and the amount used and the amount of pressure on the spinner.

If your asking could you replace one with the other, no not really. Reacta Shine I think is closer to Brunswick Factory Finish.

But If I could only have one of the two, I'd choose Rough Buff though.

But having both would be the best.
