thanks larry! My current average in my 3 year of bolwing, having started at 62 and now 65 years,,, has gone up each year as my scores on USBC show, and will show this year with two 300s!

But my average is from 196, to 204 depending on which league, up from last year. I have had not long ago
a 780 also... so on a good day I can do damage, but then on bad days,,, well I don't want to talk about it to anyone but my shrink!! LOL

So right out of drilling to bowl a 230 average after two games is quit a nice jump. A better test will be tomorrow!
I bowl on a league with 8 bowlers! I will give a report on how it does on even better oil!!

And I agree with you about the NEW TECH STUFF..... I am into that too!! (

Same question. Why go between different grips? Would think will give issues with consistency just like throwing different weights could. That's just me though.

Default This Ball Just MIGHT BE THE GREATEST BALL EVER MADE!!

I will go more into my thoughts on this remarkable ball, tomorrow morning,,, need to get re-Freeze,,, The ball is so damn HOT, that Iceman lost 5 lbs in water weight!! The ball is just doesn't give up! My last game was my best 265!

On any given night I usually go threw 2 or 3,,, even 4 balls... lol.... this ball even worked GREAT on 10 pins, when I throw it palm up! More tomorrow,,, I have a lot to say about this ball but its late.

Also some great fortune in regards to the Byte, bowling ball I wanted,,,, guess what.... tomorrow!!! LOL

funny,,, did you notice my first shot was a split, and my last one in the second games was too! LOL
If you were standing 35, and shooting 15, you weren't feeling the pain we had at Temecula.

That line wouldn't have hooked an inch, and probably been in the gutter.

Had you changed it to 35 shooting 20, it would have missed the head pin left.

Yes, it really was that sensitive.

When I say standing, in my case, I am talking the CENTER OF MY RIGHT FOOT!! (keep that in mind).

OK, MIKE WHITE, to be exact, I (((was standing at 33 and shooting 17!))) Come out here and see me do it!!
Man you are such a,,,,,How do I put it,,,,,, Forget-about-it!! I won't stoop to your negative, ( think you know it all low level) DO YOU MIND me asking,,, are you married???? I feel for who ever that person is, because I get the impression YOU ARE NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!

But when YOU call me a liar,,,, MIKE,,,, that is bull shirt!

Maybe that's what the ball does when YOU THROW it, I have seen your style, when you were defeated by Aslan! Believe me MIKE I can throw that angle period, and with the right touch, it looks sweet going into the pocket!!

It is a new angle I need to work on more, due to the fact I usually stand with my RIGHT FOOT on 16 1/2 and shoot 10.

NOW MIKE tell me I cant((do that))! My last game with this incredible ball was a 265 last night!

I might not have the years of experience, and KNOW IT ALL YOU DO, but I can count MIKE, the almighty! LOL

I don't think I have ever read anyone so condescending as YOU my friend!!! What is you PROBLEM!!!

I would suggest you go to the local Health Food Store and get yourself some ( Happy Pills!)

Some good advice, for what little it might be worth to YOU.... IF you can't say something POSITIVE,,, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! WE here on bowlingboard.com are frankly getting Fed up with it ALL!
Ok...... I got it off my chest!!

HEY<<<< I just got an idea to keep your thoughts in one PLACE for people who like your style negative comments!

A thread called. (Grumps View) Lighten up... bud... most of us are getting tired of your negative attitude!!

HEY if they don't sell Happy Pills their in SD,,,, I can send you some!! It's never to late for an attitude adjustment!! LOL

OK, getting back to last night, and the Deadly Aim bowling ball!

One thing that got my attention was when I got home from bowling; I saved a hell of a lot of time cleaning my equipment! I used only one WEAPON all night! ONE, not even a spare ball. it worked great for a few ten pins I had, throwing with the palm up to take most of the spin out of the ball!

I know that James, my teammate and ball driller, did one hell of a job laying it out, despite what Mike White said, LOL!! (about the pin being to close to the ring finger)!

Its movement and what it does to the pins is truly remarkable from my view point. It really seems to scramble the pins in a unique low profile, even with the speed I put on the ball.

I know I have been told by a Gold Level Coach who owns a pro shop here in town that bowling balls upon hitting the pins flex, to a degree, and then expand upon impact…. Well this baby does an incredible job of FLEXING its muscle!!

Again it does make a very different sound upon impact! I am told it has to do with the cover stock, and the carbon added. One of the things that drew me to the ball was the excellent review that Lane Side gave on the ball. They are my go 2 site for information on new bowling balls. They cover many bases, and have many different views, and comments on the balls, not just video’s!

    ON A SIDE NOTE:

I was talking to an older guy that, like me has a hobby of purchasing bowling balls, LOL,,, he liked the way my new ball looked, and was asking me a lot of questions about my thoughts on the ball. He said that he had a Storm Byte, that he threw maybe 30 times, but that it hooked too much for him with his lower speed.

I ask him if he wanted to sell it, he said he would get back to me. A little later he came over and said 60 bucks. I immediately pulled out the cash and gave it to him. He didn’t have it with him, but said he would drop it off with James , (my driller), this week. James is giving me a ONE TIME DEAL on the ball, that will leave me with a $105.00 investment in the almost new Byte.

The only think that makes it not perfect, is the fact that it’s a 14lb ball! But for One hundred and five bucks, why be picky. I redrilled my wife’s freight train that was too strong for her, and have had some great games and series.
My main problem is I have too many fricken balls!!! LOL

I know,,,, I KNOW coaches say don’t just between different ball weights!!! I am not sure why but it doesn’t seem to be a problem with me at all. Maybe because I am ICEMAN,,, part human and part Super Hero! LOL
Anyway it was a great night throwing my incredible new Deadly Aim, and then getting the Byte for such a great price! Life is Good,,,, and bowling is ONE HELL OF A GAME!!!

Default Why not a Tri Grip?

Good question! I just know that some of my VERY best games and series, have been with a more standard drilling lay out. I don't have any weakness in my wrist at all, and the weight of the ball feels very comfortable even my 16lbers... but then I do wrist curls at the gym in 3 different directions, to build up the forearm.

I NOW think that the Tri-Grip is a great tool and method to be used by people maybe that struggle with hand, wrist issues. Ball feeling to heavy, or have pain in their wrists ect. I still like the LOOK it gives my bowling balls, but then in some ways I like the standard drilling look too!

I am a finely tuned bowing machine at my age! I have about 1/3 of my balls drilled that way, and will not change them. They have their place, and I enjoy throwing them. ((( I KNOW COACHES are going crazy reading this, but remember, I am ICEMAN)))!! LOL That saying: "Don't do as I do, but do as your Coaches say!" (

I love to experiment,,, isn't that what adds spice to life!!!!
