That sounds about right
It's always dangerous to try to get inside Aslan's head, but I think red denotes stats that he feels are below what he should be getting, Black is for maintaining his current level of proficiency, and green is for stats that are significantly above his current level.

That sounds about right
True.
Green denotes an improvement over the last week/session/tournament. Red denotes a drop in performance regarding that value.
So, in the most recent example, the 573 series was > 15 pins lower than last Wednesday, so it's Red. But, the 204 was more than 15 pins higher than Game 3 last week, so it is in Green.
The Pinpal stats work the same way...if I'm > 5% from last week...Green. If I drop 5% of more, Red.
And finally, I use Green and Red to indicate preferred leaves and such. Like, the 10-pin is green because as a RH bowler, I should leave primarily 10-pins. The # of multiple-pin spares is Red, because leaving that many multi-pin spares is 2 more than last week and leaving multi-pin spares isn't a good thing.
And, actually, I'm surprised nobody ever asked that before.

You should bring out more color schemes. Pink if you were trying to impress hot chick, orange if you were inebriated, purple if you and Mike White got into an argument, etc

I had just kinda figured it was above average and below average... but yeah makes a lot more sense this way, I thought the colors were just off sometimes - haha.
I also like NtB's ideas there. You can track how you do in a game when there are other circumstances!
Friday League Night (subbing)
Older Brunswick synthetics: low-moderate oil
Was up since 4:45AM...so I kinda just wanted to go to bed. I was about 6-15 minutes away from just taking this Friday off...but finally got out of bed and got ready to go.

Good scores considering I never 'really' got dialed in. Struck more in Game 3 and hardly at all in Game 2. Game 1 was okay, but I couldn't really run anything together.
Second time this season that I almost had my first clean series.
A lot more spare shooting than I'd prefer.
Won $190 in mystery score and helped the team I subbed for take at least one of the 3 points...so I'm glad I didn't choose napping over bowling tonight.

Tuesday Night League: Fairly new synthetics, dry, narrow, short, THS
Still can't figure out how to play this pattern. I brought the Columbia Encounter and the Hammer Big Blue Spare ball with the Track 300A to try and have a couple more options.
541 Series: 178-149-214
Game 1 I opened on a 3-6-10 in the first frame, then left a weird 6-8-10 split in the 4th...and a pocket 7-10 split in the 10th. If I made a BAD shot...the negative results were amplified. If I made a GOOD shot...might leave a 7-10 split.
Game 2 was even worse. A 4-6-7 split in the first frame. Chopped a 2-5 in the 3rd. Chopped a 1-2-4 in the 5th. Then I left a 4-10 split in the 8th AND 10th...actually picking it up in the 10th.
Switched from the Big Blue Spare ball...which was just not working, not carrying, etc... Decided to use the Encounter as a "skid/flip" option...hoping to capitalize on what should be some decent carrydown given all the non-resin and weak equipment being thrown. Only open was on a 10-pin in the 9th frame. Picked up a 2-8-7 split in the 10th to salvage a decent game.
PinPal Stats:
First Ball Average: 8.78 pins
Strikes: 40% (1 4-bagger, 1 double, and 5 singles)
Spares: 57% picked up
Single Pin spares: 83% (5/6)
Most common single-pin leave: 10-pin (3x).
Also left a single 3-pin and 7-pin (2x).
Multiple Pin spares: 46% (6/13)
Most common multi-pin leaves: 2-5 and 4-10 split (2x each)
Splits: 33% (2/6)
Average over 3 games: 180.33.
Average had I picked up 100% of single pin spare leaves: 183.33.
Hopefully my last time subbing in this league before Vegas in March. The good thing is...once we get to Vegas and bowl on actual conditions...versus whatever this short/narrow TH(B)S is...I should be able to bowl well enough to maybe make some $$$.
If I DO, sub in this league again...I might do some surface work on my Bullet Train, Encounters, Rhythm...maybe put together a 3-ball combo where I can reduce the surfaces to a point where I might be able to utilize them...taking advantage of the stronger cores than what I get out of the Track300A.
