All of the above. Then again this was late at night after the lanes have been burnt out.

It's tough when it's burnt out. Not much you can do about that.

As far as hitting your mark, my best advice for that is to start your mark down until your ball goes beyond that point. It's helped me a lot. Also, today my coach had me stand at beginning of the lane and stare at my mark. Then he had me bend down at the knee and look at my mark. The lower I got, the closer the mark was to me. You also project the ball further down the lane when you get down lower.

Late practice on dry lanes I don't worry much on score I just go to try different things and see the reaction the ball gets. This allows me to have a sense of what I can do during league night when I need the more or less revs or when I need to move or change speeds.

This is also a great time to focus on spare shooting. I am working myself and throwing straight at spares instead of trying to use any hook at all which I currently do. It is so hard to rely on just that tad bit of hook, but it has been tough trying to roll it end over end straight after years of trying to add the revs.

Practicing on burnt up lanes is pretty useless unless that's all you plan to bowl on. Spare shooting is the same. Missing your mark on bone dry lanes is easy if you're trying to swing the ball out. High end balls need oil to skid and will often times start hooking before the arrows on dry lanes. They also affect how the ball rolls off the break point and through the pin deck.

I'm looking at your games, and your stats, and in particular the number of multi-pin spares you're leaving. Now you've been throwing some pretty good games, and that's great, so I have to "assume" that most of this multi-pin spares are in the lower scoring games. Here's what jumps out at me. On the games where you're leaving most of the multi pin spares, my bet is you're looking up a split second before releasing the ball, which means that you'll pull the ball left a lot. Tell me if I'm on track here, and in your better games you're nailing the target pretty much all 10 frames. If I'm correct in assuming this, so you can get more consistent, here's a couple of things to try.

    1. ALWAY'S watch your ball roll over your target - remember you can't hit what you don't see !
    2. From the second you get your target in focus, "DO NOT BLINK YOUR EYES UNTIL YOU RELEASE TH BALL" (take a bit
of getting used to but it helps)
    3. Each time you're waiting for your ball to return, you should be 100% focused on what your next shot target is going
to be, and Blocking out all sights and sounds around you, enabling you to get into a zone.
    4. Watching the path of the ball AFTER it hits your target. The ball path will tell you tons of information as to how and
where it's going to react. This info is used for the next shot on that lane.

Try these tips, and try to get your first ball pocket percentage up there so you're leave less multi pin spares. Those spares are the hardest to convert (more misses) and will cost you pin count in the end as well. Good luck & let me know if this helped.
