It's going to be a VERY UNIQUE never before done bowl off!! 6 lanes, two mopped by hand like old school bowling, and I haven't decided on the other two pair! Open to suggestions, but I do want to make it very challenging, and FUN! Bowling should be about having a GREAT TIME above
all else!!!!!! I know some GREAT Barbeque places close to where I live bud!!! I can help you in that department!!

Looking forward to meeting you and your soon to be wife!!! You might want to hit Worlds of Fun while up here too! Lots to see and do in the Kansas city Missouri area!

Go Mopped ths (usually a 9/10-1 ratio), something like a sunset strip or beaten path (3/4-1 ratio), and Bear (flat pattern)

that way you can see just how much a standard pattern affects your ball motion
    PAP - 6 1/4 1/8 up
    speed 16-16.5 monitor
    ~400-450 revs

Default Only the Best of the Best need apply taking names NOW!

The main thing is it going to be VERY challenging!! Only

    REAL MEN

    and

    REAL Women

need apply! No blocked easy crap like Mike,,Rob, and Aslan love! Yes MIke complains about how easy it is ALL THE TIME, but then backs out at showing his un-godlly old time gifts and talent????

This is MUCH MORE CHALLANGING then that Easy pattern in Vegas..... this going to TEST TO THE LIMIT a bowlers skills and talent.

6 lanes, 3 radically different difficult patterns!! Who is going to be the Man/Woman that can figure each out, and go home the champion!!

I'm not sure if I would qualify as one of the Best of the Best now days
but I'm willing to give it a shot anyway. If I don't even break a 90 game
or if I was to bowl a 900 series I'm not going to worry about it because
I'm going to be there for the fun of it and to meet everyone.

So yeah go ahead and put my name down I'm willing to show up for sure.

    got_a_300 is in.

I thought the WTBA Beijing was the hardest pattern I've bowled on thus far. I've never bowled on the Badger or Bear, but I didn't think the Wolf was that bad.

But with my straighter style...the pattern differences don't matter as much. It's the high rev cranker/power players that struggle on shorter patterns.

Iceman is a straighter player, so he won't notice much difference (I presume). The patterns are shorter, but they also tend to be flatter...with more oil volume. So a straighter, stroker is going to notice the ball hooks later...but theoretically it'll have more energy when it does...thus similar results to a THS.

The biggest challenge for me on sport patterns isn't the pattern itself...I can make slight adjustments for longer and shorter patterns...it's the room for error. If you're an "area" player (aiming for an area rather than a board)...they can be really tough because a slight miss of maybe a board one way or the other can produce bad results. And thats not the case on most house shots. Even tough house shots have a couple boards on either side of the ideal line.

Yeah, I "backed out" but only because of the date conflict.

My only "complaint" is you thinking you're some kind of super-hero because you've had high scores, but only on easy lane conditions and with bowling balls that increase hitting power.

Years back, it wasn't just the oil that was tougher, the equipment didn't help like today's balls that stick to the lane.

He doesn't really want tough lanes, he just wants to sound tough, but still have the THS, so it will control the modern ball for him.

The mop sounds like it could be tough, but a skilled application of oil can be just as easy as a machine applied THS.

Is it June yet? I know this Iceman's got a woody and ain't skered of no spiders farmboy sheep are fair game open championship is going to be 1,000,000x more epic than this thread. I feel bad for anyone who can't be there - whether it is vegas sweeps (or being scared of wood and sheep, spiders and being taken advantage in the hay barn) or you just make up an excuse why you can't be there. Detroit will be represented. As will the greatest bowlers of all time - LEFTIES. Coming in hot.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO MAKE IT like in YOUR old delusional days! My god, man,,, 3 different lanes, almost a 300 a few weeks ago again, on Brunswick lanes, bowling OLD 1957 wood lanes in Plattsburg, with a different oil pattern every week? I have had high games many times MIke, with many different types of balls, symmetrical, asymmetrical, you name it! What DOES ICEGOD HAVE TO DO break my LEFT leg, and then bowl?????

I am a Super Hero, and a Bowling God! GET over it! If you remember that play off in Vegas, I had ONE change in that final series, the high games were both Rob and Ice! 224 and 227! the bowlers after that game were not even close! I should have at least been crowned 2nd place that day!

Do you remember the scores in the 3rd and 4th that you had and mud?? (mud had a good excuse, only ONE FRICKEN BOWLING BALL)!!! You were lucky you didn't get me for that game Rob eliminated you,,, I would have done even MORE DAMAGE, maybe beyond REPAIR!!

    I am now Supergodhero!!!

I am even hotter now then back then in September.... Too bad your backing out of this unique Bowl off!!! Would have been fun, bowling such a
    old school expert bowler.

I would have liked to see you on the REAL Old School Mop Oil!! I bet you would have shined!!
    Don't walk on Thin Ice!
